Yuck - Doctors In My Bed (bside)
Haven’t posted here in a while, for various reasons, blah. But here’s a new b-side (for Get Away) from my favourite new band of 2011, Yuck.
Nothing new again, but it’s just so good.

Next hype of 2011, sounds very intriguing and mysterious.
Unlike previously reported, WU LYF will not be releasing their debut album on May 23. But fear not: it will be available a couple of weeks later, more exact on June 13. Here’s a little teaser to make you even more excited. GO TELL FIRE TO THE MOUNTAIN!
Still not convinced, just sounds like typical post-Oasis lad rock to me. But I’ll be listening.
Brother - Still Here
Still Here is the new Brother’s single. It’s gonna be released the 25th of April 2011.

They’re supposed to be the next big thing for quite a while now and might just be the new MGMT. We’ll see, but this is a nice slice of indie disco fun.
Egyptian Hip Hop - Moon Crooner
Today may be The King of Limbs’ day, but Yuck’s first album, released next Monday, is an early album of the year contender. But that’s because the album, just like me, is a child of the 90s.
The band is kind enough to host a stream on Soundcloud, so listen and then go buy it because it’s fucking great.
Yuck - Yuck by Yuck
Releasing a single called “Lust or Love” on Valentine’s Day, and on limited red heart-shaped vinyl is a little bit too gimmicky. But it’s new music from Belgian duo Black Box Revelation, who released one of my favourite albums last year, groovy, filthy, simple, everything rock ‘n roll should be like.
Their new album is expected later this year, and was recorded with Alain Johannes in LA.
(merci Julien)
There are so many exciting new indie bands in 2011. Looks like Joy Division’s influences will never fade away, and this time the ghost of Ian Curtis is put back to life by London’s Chapel Club, who also add a fair share of My Bloody Valentine-esque sweet sweet noise. Zeitgeist maybe, but hey, good music. Palace will soon be reviewed on Music Box. And I may even start to write reviews in English again.
The Next Big Thing.
